Lindsay's 38th Birthday!

Today, Lindsay would have turned 38! Whenever I think of her and Jason, I try to imagine what heaven must be like. I have no way of knowing, but I have always thought that maybe time and space don't exist in heaven they way they do here. Is Lindsay aware that today would have been her 38th birthday? Or is there no such thing as "today" because time doesn't pass by in days, weeks, months, years, etc. in heaven? It is so fascinating to me. What is a mystery for now won't be a mystery forever. Heaven often feels like it's so far away, but it really isn't! It is only a breath away. One minute we could be here, and the next minute we could be in heaven.

It truly brings enormous relief to know where Lindsay and Jason are and that they are safe and can never be harmed ever again! They are literally and eternally in the best place there is... the paradise of heaven, in the presence and glory of Christ Himself! Lindsay marveled at seeing God's glory reflected in His Creation here on earth. In her last words written in the journal on that beach, she wrote of her awe of what she was seeing:

"The sun is going down on the horizon, and all I see is the beams shining on the cliff face, and I know that God is awesome. I look around and see His Creation all around me."

Little did she know that, within a few short hours, what she marveled at and wrote about would pale in comparison to the beauty of what she beheld as she entered into heaven! We cannot even begin to imagine what awaits us there! It is truly something to look forward to! God's greatest gift to us is the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. Because of Christ's sacrifice for us, we are offered eternal life in heaven... in the presence of Christ Himself... and the untainted, unlimited, magnificent glory of His Creation! His love for us is limitless! He created each and every human being who has ever been conceived. Not a single one of us is a mistake! He has a purpose for all of us. He wants, more than anything, for every one of us to turn from the wicked ways of the world and to follow Him. He wants us to be set free from the chains of our sins so we can know the freedom that comes with coming clean before Him, being restored (made whole) and receiving the gift of eternal life in heaven! The Bible is God's Holy Word, and the resource that He has given us to help us with our walk with Him.

"And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son."
– 1 John 5:11

"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life."
– John 5:24

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
– John 3:16

"And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life."
– 1 John 5:20

"Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."
– Psalm 23:6

"O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?"
– 1 Corinthians 15:55

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?'"
– John 11:25-26

"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand."
– John 10:27-28

"But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.
– John 4:14

While we know that Lindsay and Jason are safe in heaven, obviously today is another birthday that Lindsay's family will be experiencing without her. Please pray for them as the heartache of losing her is always there. It will only be fully healed when they are reunited with her.

Happy Birthday Lindsay! ♥ You will never be forgotten!
